Harold E. Hart

Harold (Ed) E. Hart, 64, of Meadville, a former maintenance worker, died Tuesday, October 20, 1992, at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Meadville, October 18, 1928, a son of Harold T. and Lucy Briggs Hart. He had been a maintenance worker at Trio Tool Co. for four years, and had also been employed at Avtex as a maintenance worker for many years. He was a member of Meadville Elks Lodge 219, Masonic Lodge 234, Meadville Club and West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Department. He was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean War in the military police. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly A. Hart of Albion; three sons, William E. Hart of Cambridge Springs, Steven R. Hart of Wildwood, NJ and Richard J. Hart of Custer, SD; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Clara) Prenatt, Jr. of Meadville; two brothers, Hugh (Pete) Hart and Richard A. Hart, both of Meadville; and six grandsons. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary (Toots) Coleman and Audry Dillinger. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
