Harold Eugene “Gene” Pavlik, 84, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in his daughter’s residence.
He was born in Meadville on February 5, 1940, a son of George R. and Naomi (Boyle) Pavlik. On August 13, 1966, Gene married the former Caroline Sue Lang, she passed away February 4, 2008.
He was employed at the former PPG for 35 years and was a member of Fallowfield United Methodist Church in Atlantic.
He was a 1960 graduate of Meadville High School and served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1963 where he was stationed in Germany.
Gene was a member of CLP VFD station #5 and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and flying model airplanes.
He is survived by a son, Todd Pavlik of Saegertown; two daughters, Karen Shields of Meadville and Tammy Gentile and her husband Matt of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Dustin Pavlik, Trevor Pavlik, Joshua Shields, Kurt Shields, Daniel Shields, Zachary Gentile, Anthony Gentile and Alyvia Gentile; four great grandchildren, Luke Shields, Nicholas Lee Shields, Maggie Shields, Finn Shields and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister Judy Lewis.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in Rose and Waid Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake with Rev. Dustin Heath, officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, October 28 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. The burial will be private in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
