Harold T. Hart, 81, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Sunday, December 27, 1981, following an illness of one year.
He was born at Falconer, NY, May 25, 1900, a son of Edward and Clara Townley Hart. He married Lucy Briggs July 1, 1925. She died February 27, 1965.
He was retired from the engineering department at Talon, Inc.
A member of Gravel Run United Presbyterian Church, Woodcock, Mr. Hart also was a member of Talon Management Club, Crawford Masonic Lodge 234, Scottish Rite Bodies of Erie and New Castle, Kismet Grotto, Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie, Crawford County Shrine Club and Meadville Elks Lodge 219.
He was also a member of Black Ash and Pymatuning sportsmen's clubs, Meadville Fire Police, Dick Volunteer Fire Department Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department, NWPA Firemen's Assn. and American Assn. of Retired Persons.
Mr. Hart also was past president of Meadville Sportsmen's Club, had been inducted into PA Federation of Sportsmen's Club Hall of Fame and was a charter member of West Mead Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Clara) Prenatt, Jr., Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Colemen and Mrs. Joseph (Audrey) Dillinger, all of Meadville; three sons, Harold E., Hugh (Pete) and Richard A., all of Meadville; twenty-three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
