Harold William Shoop, Jr, 71 of Blooming Valley died Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Crawford County Care Center where he had been a resident for the past three years.
He was born July 19, 1948 in Meadville a son of Harold William and Margaret A. Smith Shoop. He married Juditha Elizon in 2007 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Saegertown High School and worked as a dairy farmer, artificial inseminator and meat cutter. He loved farming and working his farm. He also enjoyed boiling sap and was active in 4-H in his youth.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Juditha, include: two sons, Brian Shoop (Michele) of Meadville and Noah Shoop of Saegertown; four step-children, Brent Elizon of Saegertown, Bing Bong Elizon of Saegertown, Jasmine Shafer (Brendon) of Meadville and Remelita Elizon of Cambridge Springs; a granddaughter, Madison Shoop; two sisters, Doris Caldwell (Howard) of Venango and Molly Prussia (Stan) of Georgia; a brother, Ralph Shoop (Charlotte) of Guys Mills and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family graveside service will held in Blooming Valley Cemetery with Rev. Harold Walton, Chaplain of the Crawford County Care Center, officiating.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
