Harriet J. Footskulak

Harriet J. Footskulak, 56, of Guys Mills, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 26, 1957 in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Harry and Betty Heim Reed.  She married Donald Ray Footskulak June 29, 2008 and he survives.

Harriet was a 1976 graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Orwigsburg, PA.  A homemaker, she had worked at Pampered Palate in Meadville for five years and subsequently worked at the Blooming Valley Store for a brief period of time.

She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Donald, include a daughter, Jeanie Roach and her husband Harold of Mesa, AZ; a son, Scott Myers and his wife Krysten of the U.S. Army stationed in Georgia; three sisters, Grace Gibson of Hamburg, Marie Reed of Lebanon, and Chris August of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Thomas Roach and Saydi Myers; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Fleischut.

Calling hours will be Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Amy of New Beginnings Church of God, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
