Harry A. Kraeling, age 67, passed away June 10, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born April 28, 1954 to the late John B. and Adeline Kraeling in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
Harry graduated from Meadville Senior High School in 1972. He was formerly married to Debra (Yesovitch) Jordan on February 23, 1973. Together they had 3 children: Melissa Marin (Kaine), Kevin Kraeling (Kelli) and Kelly Kraeling (David).
Harry started his career at the family owned business Drafto in Cochranton, PA. Subsequently, he was employed by many tool and die businesses in the Meadville area until opening his own business, Kraeling Industries.
Harry enjoyed golfing, boating, admiring antique cars, and spending time with his many friends and family. He was a member of many local social clubs and especially loved his dear extended family at Nighthawks in Conneaut Lake and Taylor Hose in Meadville.
In addition to his children, Harry is survived by his siblings, William (Kathy) Kraeling of Aiken, South Carolina, and Adeline Kraeling of Clarksburg, Tennessee. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Karleigh Marin (Kaitlynn), Kelsie Marin, Kessandra Marin, Olivia Higby, Samuel Kraeling and Adeline Kraeling as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his most supportive companion and business partner Trish Sweatman and their most loyal and loving dog Divot.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Kraeling and John B. (Jack) Kraeling, Jr.
Calling hours will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
A Celebration of Harry's life will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. at Vernon Central Hose Company, 16589 McMath Avenue, Meadville. Please come and share some of your favorite memories, share some laughs and honor this great man.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to N/W PA NTMA (National Tooling & Manufacturing Association) Educational Foundation via the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation, P.O. Box 933, Meadville, PA 16335.
