Harry A. Walther, 75, of Meadville, died Thursday morning at Spencer Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Walther, who spent his early life in the Black Ash community, operated a farm there for some time. He married Pearl Noel 55 years ago and the couple moved to Meadville some 42 years ago. He was employed in the mechanical department of the Erie Railraod Co. shops 31 years, retiring about 1943.
He was a member of the Meadville Club and the Erie Railroad Veterans Assn.
Mr. Walther is survived by his widow; a son, Claude N. of Chilicothe, OH; a brother, Frank Walters of Meadville; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
