Harry C. Kirkpatrick, of Meadville, a former member of the Meadville Board of Health, died Sunday morning at City Hospital after a six-week illness.
A machinist by trade, he later became interested in ornithology and took up taxidermy. He furnished data for ornithological societies and co-operated with the state in the study of birds of this locality. A contributor to local and national ornithological publications, he complied much of the data on bird life of the Pymatuning area.
A member of Stone Methodist Church, he served as an usher there for a long period and belonged to the Men's Bible Class.
He is survived by a son, Paul A. Kirkpatrick of Meadville, a brother, Walter of Wasington, DC, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
