Harry L. Burchard, 91, of Guys Mills, died Saturday, June 5, 1993, at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Randolph Township, April 24, 1902, a son of Emmett and Jennie Van Camp Burchard. He married Eleanor Rough, July 20, 1922. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1990.
He was first employed in highway construction with Fort Pitt Construction Co. of Pittsburgh. He then was employed with Talon, Inc. for 18 years. Harry was also a self employed farmer. He was a member of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, the Randolph Grange and a life member of the Randolph Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Richael of Stoneboro, Mrs. Kenneth (Wilmina Jean) McGinnis of Guys Mills and Mrs. William (Harriet) Porter of Stoneboro; four sons, Harry L. Burchard, Jr. of Meadville, F. Merle Burchard, Clair E. Burchard and Bruce L. Burchard all, of Guys Mills; 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Jennie Burchard, one sister and four brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
