Mrs. Hazel G. Cutshall, 73, of Guys Mills, died at City Hospital Monday, December 22, 1975, after a short illness.
Born in Randolph Township on April 28, 1902, she was a daughter of William L. and Sarah Oakes Oakes. She married Mr. William H. Cutshall on October 26, 1926.
Mrs. Cutshall was a graduate of the former Edinboro Normal School and taught school in the Randolph school system in her earlier years. She was reporter for the Mount Hope area for the Cochranton Times for many years. A member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, she was a member of the church's United Methodist Women, taught the women's Bible class for many years and was church treasurer for many years. She was a member of Kiser Hill Mead Grange and secretary-treasurer of the Mount Hope Cemetery Assoc.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Francis Joanne Burchard of Mount Hope; a son Russell O. Cutshall of Hammonds Port, NY; two sisters, Mrs. Rae (Ruth) Byham and Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Smith, both of Guys Mills; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Services were held with the Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
