Helen Demaison

Helen DeMaison, 84, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Meadville, died unexpectedly Friday, October 10, 1997 at Boswell Hospital, Sun City, AZ.

She was born July 16, 1913 in Duquesne, a daughter of the late Paul and Verona Sipos Heme.  She married Kenneth L. DeMaison June 21, 1931.  He preceded her in death September 15, 1977.

Mrs. DeMaison was a graduate of Meadville High School.  She was a homemaker and worked for a short time at Talon.  She devoted her life to being a caring wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church before moving to Arizona in 1977.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jens (Dorothy) Hansen of Bountiful, UT, Beverly Riggins of Peoria, AZ and Mrs. Anthony (Marilyn) Gurgiola of Wexford; one son, Daniel E. (Susan) DeMaison of Conneautville; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Stephen, Andrew and Frank Heme; and one sister, Rose Heme Derfus Merry.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
