Helen E. Walton

Mrs. Helen E. Walton, 65, of Meadville, died at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, Wednesday, March 5, 1969, following a brief illness.  The Waltons were spending the winter in Arizona.

She was born September 19, 1903, in Greenville, a daughter of Elmer S. and Margaret Mead Mason.  Her mother was a descendent of David Mead, founder of Meadville.

She was married to Donald F. Walton in 1944.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School, Grove City College and Erie Commercial College and taught school for several years in Crawford County.  Mrs. Walton was a member of Wayland Baptist Church and of Randolph Grange.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three stepsons, Jack Walton of Meadville, Frank Walton of Guys Mills and Arthur B. Walton of Polk City, IA and five grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
