Helen F. Edwards

Helen F. Edwards, 91, of Meadville, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 5, 1998 at her residence.

She was born November 19, 1907 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late David D. and Minnie Irene Taylor Foltz.  She married Dallas H. Edwards June 17, 1938 and he preceded her in death January 11, 1984.

She received her BA in Education from Shippensburg State Teacher's College and ha done post graduate work at Penn State University.  She taught school in Brookville for several years.  A homemaker for most of her life, she was an avid bridge player and teacher.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and former Sunday School teacher.  She was an associate member of Meadville Elks Lodge #219 and a former member of the Meadville Country Club.

Survivors include two sons, D. Craig Edwards of Amherst, MA and D. Keith Edwards of Rocky River, OH; one daughter, Jane K. Vincent of London, England; four grandchildren, Kelly Edwards, Sara Vincent, Jenny Vincent and Hillary Edwards; and one niece.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Carr and a brother, Forrest Foltz.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery, Fulton County.
