Mrs. Helen I. Gilvair, 75, of Meadville, a resident of the Crawford County Home since October 1983, widow of W. Lawrence Gilvair, died at Crawford County Home, Tuesday, January 31, 1984, following an extended illness.
She was born August 28, 1908, at Meadville, a daughter of William and Mary Stitts Saeger. She married Gilvair in 1932. He died in 1970.
Mrs. Gilvair was self-employed as a beautician, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and the church's UM Women. She was also a member of Golden Crown Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Ladies Advisory Committee at City Hospital, Meadville Women's Club, Elk Lodge 219 Aux., and American Assn. of Retired Persons.
Survivors include a son, William of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Nichols of New Port Richey, FL; a brother, Clyde Saeger of Tampa, FL; three granddaughters, and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna, in 1983.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
