Helen Irene Rifenberrick

Helen Irene Rifenberrick, 72, of Meadville, died Friday, September 5, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

She was born December 29, 1924 in East Brady, a daughter of the late William and Maysie Rush Boyer.  She married Lowry M. Rifenberrick February 26, 1944.  He survives.

Mrs. Rifenberrick was a 1943 graduate of Clarion Limestone High School.  She worked for 22 years as an office clerk at Alltel retiring in 1985.  She was a past matron of Diamond Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and bowling.

She was a member of Harmonsburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Carol Rifenberrick of Richmond, VA and Susan Harris of Sibley, MO; two sons, James M. Rifenberrick of Meadville and John W. Rifenberrick (Linda) of Conneautville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchildren and also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville Dale and Wilson W. Boyer.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
