Helen M. Ross, 84, formerly of Franklin, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since February of 1976, died Monday, February 19, 1990, at Wesbury following a period of failing health.
She was born in Oil City, March 17, 1905, a daughter of R. Walter and Maud J. Miller Carson. She married Robert P. Ross, December 11, 1926. He preceded her in death July 3, 1972.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years by the Carnahan Transfer and Storage Co., Oil City. Following her employment as a bookkeeper, she was employed in the office of the former Armstrong-Collier Department Store, Oil City.
She was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church, Franklin, and was a member of the Society of United Methodist Women of the church. She served church boards and committees and was a graduate of Oil City High School.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Sunset Hill Memorial Park, Franklin.
