Helen T. Allen

Helen T. Allen, 84, of 722 Walnut St., Meadville, died Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born October 23, 1912 in Meadville, a daughter of the late William J. and Nellie Haylett Titsler.  She married Clair H. Allen, Jr. April 16, 1938.  He survives.

Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Meadville High School and attended Allegheny College.  She worked for Talon as an inspector, retiring in 1977.  She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, quilting, and discussing politics.  She was of Methodist faith.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three nieces and one nephew.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and William B. Titsler.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Ellen Rezek, Chaplain of Wesbury, officiating.

Interment was in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
