Helen V. Freyermuth Maloney, 91, of 623 Laird Avenue, Meadville died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at the Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in E. Fairfield Twp., Crawford Co. February 6, 1912 a daughter of Alexander and Bertha Jane Stockton Pattison. She married Burton L. Freyermuth June 9, 1934 and he preceded her in death September 29, 1983. She subsequently married Elton J. Maloney November 3, 1984 and he survives.
She worked at Talon, J.C.Penney Co. and retired from Wesbury in 1977 after nine years of service. She attended the Meadville Commercial College and she was a member of the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where she was a Past President of its Women’s Club. She also enjoyed bowling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Bennett Freyermuth and his wife Barbara of San Diego, CA and Edwin Freyermuth of San Francisco, CA; a grandson, Brian Freyermuth and his wife Juliet; a great grandson, Kyle Freyermuth and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, David Augustus, Ralph, Lawrence, Herbert, Clifford, Myron and David Pattison and two sisters, Margaret Wheeling and Jennie Shoey.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Aschmann, Pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
