Henry William Rickert

May 30, 1866 — January 1, 1753

Henry William Rickert, 77, died suddenly Thursday morning at this home in Frenchtown.

He was born in Meadville and for many years, practiced  the carpenter and builders trade.  The deceased spent his later years caring for the Frenchtown farm where he had lived most of his life.

He had lived until November 6, he and Mrs. Rickert would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

He was a member of St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church at Frenchtown and also of the Frenchtown Grange.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Florian of Erie and Gilbert of Frenchtown; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Bender of New Philadelphia, OH and Mrs. Virginia Johnson of Meadville; four sisters, Mrs. L. L. Richard of New Castle, Mrs. Jennie Popney of Pittsburgh, Miss Elizabeth Rickert of Titusville and Mrs. Dan S. Veith of Meadville and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
