Herbert M. Brown

Herbert M. Brown, 92, of Bridgeport, Conn., died Saturday, January 4, 1969, in Bridgeport following a brief illness.

He was born in Crawford County on December 13, 1876, a son of Morrow and Kissiah McFadden Brown.  He married the former Lydia Braymer who died in 1959.  Mr. Brown was a grandson of Dr. Benjamin Brown of Blooming Valley.  He was employed in the heating business in Seattle and was a foreman in the Seattle shipyards during World War II.  Mr. Brown was a member of First United Methodist Church of Seattle and IOOF of Seattle.  He attended Allegheny College.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Harriet Brown of Meadville and Mrs. G. A. Riddle of Newport, RI; two grandchildren, Dr. George Riddle of Ithaca, NY and Miss Adele Riddle of the University of Alabama and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
