Hobart A. Coates

Hobart A. Coates, 90, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community for the past two years, died at Wesbury Tuesday, March 19, 1985, after a sudden illness.

He was born at Union City April 7, 1894, a son of Alfred and Leota Coates.  He married Helen Clapp, who died in 1966.

For many years, he was employed as a salesman at the former Charles S. Miller Shoe Store on Chestnut Street.  He was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 234.

He is survived by several cousins and was preceded in death by a brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
