Homer E. Weaver, Jr.

Homer E. Weaver, Jr., 73, formerly of Conneaut Lake, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Erie V.A. Medical Center.

He was born March 28, 1945 in Kittanning, a son of Homer E. and Elizabeth M. Hankinson Weaver.  He married Mary Earley in 1967 and she preceded him in death August 14, 2013.

Homer was Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968.  He worked at PPG, was a member of VFW Post 2006 and former member of its color guard.  Homer enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and football.

He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include a grandson, Dakota Weaver and his girlfriend Emily of Meadville; his former daughter-in-law, Jenny Luikart of Meadville; two brothers, Jim Weaver and his wife Cathy and Ron Hankinson and his wife Dorothy; three sisters, Linda Kuhn and her husband Pat, Mabel Meyer, and Catherine Rumbaugh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Weaver and a brother, Dan Weaver.

Calling hours will be Monday, June 18th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Brumagin officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by VFW Post 2006.
