Hope W. Schiek

Mrs. Hope W. Schiek, 75, of Meadville, died at Smith Institute, Saegertown, Monday, March 21, 1960, after a long illness.

She had lived in Meadville for 50 years.

She was born in Marietta, OH, August 29, 1884, a daughter of Seth C. and Elizabeth Cornwell Wilhelm.

She was the widow of Samuel Schiek.

Mrs. Schiek was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the Silver Circle of the church.  She also was a member of the auxiliary of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jeannette) Drake of Yellow Springs, OH, Miss Eleanor Schiek of Point Pleasant, WV and Mrs. James (Virginia) Schaab of Erie; three sons, Donald of Philadelphia, William of Rancocas Wood, NJ and James of Meadville; a sister, Miss Leila Maud Wilhelm of Marietta and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
