Horace Bertram Trace

Horace B. Trace, 95, formerly of Meadville, a resident of Abilene, TX, since 1981, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995 at Coronado Nursing Home, Abilene, following a period of declining health.

He was born in Crawford County, February 14, 1900, a son of Harry G. and Gertrude Dunn Trace.  He married Luella Reitze, January 15, 1920.  She preceded him in death September 8, 1990.

He retired from the Erie Lackawanna Railroad as a Welding and Boiler Supervisor in 1969 after 50 years service.  He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church for over 66 years.  He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, being a member of Masonic Lodge #408 for over 70 years.

Survivors include a son, Howard Trace of Greensboro, NC; a daughter, Doris (Mrs. William) Anderson of Abilene, TX; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
