Ida Grayce Hershberger

January 18, 1921 — August 5, 2001

Ida Grayce Hershberger, 80, of 638 Graff Avenue, Meadville died Sunday, August 05, 2001 at the Meadville Medical Center.

Born in Conneaut Lake, January 18, 1921, she was the daughter of A.P. and Blanche Ramsey Anderson Frist.  She married Harry E. Hershberger May 1, 1945.

She was a 1938 graduate of Ben Avon High School in Pittsburgh and also Meadville Commercial College.  She worked for a time at Brown and Jones Drug Store, Meadville and Talon, Inc. also of Meadville.  She was a devoted homemaker and took a great interest in family matters.  She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include her husband Harry Hershberger of Meadville; a grandson, Garrett Hershberger of Meadville; two sisters, Lorraine Fought of Austin, TX and Michael Schell of Conneaut Lake; a brother, Dr. Ramsey Frist of Morgantown, WV; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Harry “Bud” Hershberger and an infant sister, Sydney Marie Frist.

A private graveside service will be Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. William Brown, Visitation Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, 21601 Stull Road, Saegertown, PA 16433.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
