Mrs. Ilda L. Foust, 89, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Monday, July 8, 1974, after a brief illness.
Born in Randolph Township September 25, 1884, she was a daughter of William Addison and Antionette Little Lupher. She married Barrett A. Foust September 21, 1920. He died in 1958. She taught school in the Meadville school system for many years. She attended Edinboro State Normal School and Allegheny and Grove City college. A member of Stone United Methodist Church for 61 years, she also was a member of the church's Beacon of Light Class. A charter member, past president and former secretary of Daughters of Union Veterans and a member of Women's Christian Termperance Union and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Max (Mary) Masters of Meadville and Mrs. Watson (Margaret) Lupher of Brookville; a nephew, Manley H. Lupher of Townville. A brother, Sherman Lupher, preceded her in death.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Foust Cemetery.
