Ina Jean Leake, 93, of Sandy Lake, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community in Meadville.
She was born in Sandy Lake on September 13, 1928 to the late John Bromley Caldwell and Effie Almeda (Heim) Caldwell.
Mrs. Leake was a graduate of the former Sandy Lake High School.
She was a member of the Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sandy Lake chapter. Additionally, she enjoyed playing cards, reading, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates & Steelers, volunteering for the Sandy Lake Library, and served on the Sandy Lake Election Board. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her cats.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her five children; Terrence (Dee) Leake of Sandy Lake, Carolyn Leake of Charlottesville, VA, Constance (Anthony) Sabruno of Sandy Lake, Curtis J. (Sue) Leake of Stoneboro, and Todd (Cheryl) Leake of Butler; ten grandchildren; Michael, Dan, Yvette, Shelley, Jason, Josh, Justin, Jayme, Chelsea, and Braedyn; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Clarence Gordon Leake, whom she married on April 6, 1947 and who passed away on April 2, 2012.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 3236 S. Main Street, SANDY LAKE, where family and friends are welcome on Thursday, May 12, from 4-7 pm and Friday, May 13 from 10-11 am until the time of the service at 11 am with the Rev. Beth Creekpaum, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
