Irven P. Buttray, 43, of Cochranton, died Friday, September 23, 1983 at Franklin Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Meadville, July 23, 1940, a son of Donald I. and Edna Rockwell Buttray. He was first married to Mary M. Law and then married Neva Dunlap on July 26, 1974. She survives.
Irven was a manager of Clinch-Tite Corp at Sandy Lake for 20 years. He was the president of Cochranton Area Sportsman's Club, a member of the board of directors of PA Chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation and regional director of Allegheny Sultan's.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Lorie Carlson of Meadville and Connie Sue Buttray at home; three sons, Irven L. stationed with the US Army in Germany, Duane E. of New Lebanon and Shawn P. of New Lebanon; his mother, Edna Buttray of Cochranton; one sister, Mrs. James (Lynn) Duncan of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one brother, Jeffrey M. of Detroit, MI; and two grandsons.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
