Ivan L. Childs

Ivan L. Childs, 58, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Meadville, died Friday, August 23, 1963, while visiting at the home of his father, A. A. Childs of Meadville.

Mr. Childs was born at Warren, OH, December 15, 1904, a son of Adolphus A. and Pearl Shorts Childs.  He married Ellem Broms February 5, 1949, and until moving to Florida in 1954 was a well-known house painter in the Meadville area.  He was a member of Vero Beach Church of God and while living in Meadville was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

He is survived by his widow; a foster daughter, Miss Pat Jones of Vero Beach; his father and stepmother, of Meadville; and a brother, Justin V. Childs of Erie.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
