Ivan L. Miller, 66, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, and was certain he went to be with the Lord.
Born April 25, 1934, in Unionville, he was a son of Philip and Alice Grimm Miller. He married Thelma L. Blank November 28, 1953, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, New Sewickley Township. She survives.
He worked for 24 years at Exxon on Neville Island as a motor rank salesman. retiring in 1982. After his retirement, he sold travel trailers for Central RV in Falston for six years. In 1987, he opened Miller's Food Factory at Conneaut Lake, which he operated until his illness. His sons, Gary and Doug Miller, continue to operate the business.
A member of Sadsbury Township Zoning and Hearing Board, Conneaut Lake Area Business Assn. and Exxon Annuitant Club of Western PA, he also belonged to the Crawford County Shrine Club, Kismet Grotto and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle. A past master of Rochester Masonic Lodge 229 and of Eureka Royal Arch Chapter 167, Rochester, he was also very supportive of Pine Masonic Lodge 498 in Linesville.
He was a member of Zem Zem Temple in Erie, as well as a member of Zem Zem Travel Club, president of the directors staff of Zem Zem, and aide to the porentate.
He enjoyed life, people, travel and recreational vehicles.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by three sons, Thomas L. Miller (Linda) of Unionville, Gary Ivan Miller (Becky) of Linesville and Douglas K. Miller (Tracy) of Linesville; six grandchildren, Jesse Miller, Heather Miller, Shannon Miller, Chelsea Miller, Cassey Jo Miller and Jared Miller and two brothers, James A. Miller (Esther) of Freedom and Kenneth W. Miller of Unionville.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Emily Knopp and a nephew, Kenneth W. Miller, Jr.
Services were held with Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
Interment was in Sylvania Hills, Rochester.
