Ivie F. Alford

Ivie F. Alford, 102, died June 30, 1978 at Spencer Hospital in Meadville.

She was born in Washington DC on January 8, 1876, a daughter of L. B. and Helen DeCover May.  She married Bert Alford on July 6, 1903.  He died in 1936.

She was a member of Woodcock United Methodist Church.  Mr. and Mrs. Alford at a farm in Woodcock Township.

She is survived by a son, John N. Alford of Saegertown and two granddaughters, Mrs. Charles (Marilyn) Wykoff of McKean and Mrs. Gary (Martha) Troutner of Saegertown.  She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and one sister.

Service were held at Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Leo Cramer of Blooming Walley United Methodist Church

Interment was in Gravel Run Cemetery.
