J. Adam Crago, 70, of Guys Mills, was dead on arrival at Spencer Hospital Thursday, July 19, 1979.
He was born in Rice's Landing, Greene County, July 18, 1909, son of Walter and Elizabeth Robinson Crago. He married Mildred Hoyt May 12, 1931.
Crago was presently completing his last term as a Randolph Township supervisor after serving 12 years.
He was employed over 30 years at Wentworth Auto Sales and a member of Randolph Township Volunteer Fire Department and Clarence M. Judd American Legion Post of Townville. Crago served over 30 years as Republican committeeman in Randolph Township. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Army Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Gross of Guys Mills and Mrs. Edward (Alice) Humes of Cambridge Springs; five sons, Charles and Richard of Meadville and Paul, James and Robert, all of Guys Mills; a half brother, Jesse Chew of Pittsburgh; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
