J. Ben Winton

J. Ben Winton, 82, of Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital Monday, May 10, 1982, following an extended illness.

He was born in Rome Township, Crawford County, January 7, 1900, a son of Washington and Eva Cannon Winton.  He married Evelyn Doutt May 16, 1928.

He was employed for 27 years at Meadville Co-Op and prior to that was a self-employed farmer in Richmond Township.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Winton is survived by two daughters, Vera Parker of Guys Mills and Sandra Clark of New Wilmington; a sister, Mrs. March Wheelock of Guys Mills; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
