J. Cleon Kelley

March 3, 1882 — January 1, 1753

J. Cleon Kelley, 65, Randolph Township farmer and dairyman, died Sunday morning at Spencer Hospital as the result of a heart attack.  He had been in ill health for the past six months.

Born near Townville on March 3, 1882, the son of the late Freeland H. and Edith May Southworth Kelley, he had spent his entire life in the Guys Mills area, except for four years when he homesteaded in Wyoming.  His wife, the former Nancy Elva Beers, died in December, 1945.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ora Kelley Sutton of Guys Mills; six brothers, Lee of Cambridge Springs, Ben N. Kelley of Guys Mills, Clarke L. and Claude E. Kelley of Aurora, NY, Brinton of Colorado and Fred of Wilton Springs, MO and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
