J. Vance Collins

J. Vance Collins, 80, died Sunday at the Crawford County Home Infirmary.

Mr. Collins, a native of Indiana state, lived with his son, Earl Devere Collins of Franklin Pike, until recent months when he was admitted to the infirmary.  He moved in 1919 to Guys Mills, where he was engaged in farming, and then moved to the Meadville area 16 years ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. O. G. Baldwin of Rensselaer, IN and Mrs. Nellie Welsh of Berwin, IL; three sons, Jay V. Collins of Chicago and Earl and Orval of Meadville; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Rich of Dekald, IL; and four brothers, William of Tulsa, OK, George and John, both of Rensselaer, and Ray Collins of Yoder, WY.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
