Jack A. Nogar, 65, of Meadville died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1943 in Franklin, PA a son of Carl and Evelyn Robinson Nogar.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1981 after 20 years of service. In his retirement he worked in security in the Tacoma, Washington area. He moved to the Meadville area about five years ago to be near his extended family. He was a member of West Mead #2 V.F.D.
Survivors, include a daughter, Misty Nogar of Washington; his mother, Evelyn Nogar of Texas; a sister, Kathy Peacock of Texas; a brother, Bill Nogar of Texas, three grandchildren, nieces, nephews and several cousins, including Jim and Mary Collins and family of Meadville.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Lanelle Nogar; and infant daughter, Mandy Nogar and a son, Jerry Nogar.
Private family services will be held.
Burial will be next to his wife and daughter in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
