Jack G. Burchard

Jack G. Burchard, 76, of 17262 Mullen Rd., Meadville, died Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born January 29, 1927 in Meadville, a son of the late W. Charles and Marian Elizabeth Graham Burchard.  He married Norma A. Richard.

He was a 1944 graduate of Randolph High School and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.  He worked at Penelec as a lineman, retiring in 1988 following 41 years of service.  He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #30.  He enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and especially his family.

He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include his estranged wife, Norma Burchard of Meadville; 2 daughters, Donna B. Scott of Imperial and LuAnn Burchard of Meadville; 2 sons, Thomas J. Burchard and his wife Stephanie of Cincinnati, OH and John A. Burchard and his wife Mary of Meadville; his loving companion of 33 years, Jean L. Randall of Meadville; 6 grandchildren, Gregory, Matthew, and Natalie Burchard, Zachary and Nathan Scott, and Samuel Burchard; 2 brothers, Charles Burchard and his wife Ila and James Burchard and his wife Rosie, all of Guys Mills; and several loving nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Burchard and a sister, Mary Lou Burchard.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
