Jack H. Wasson, 66, of Meadville, died Sunday, August 1, 1999 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Ashtabula Co., OH.
He was born in Meadville, May 26, 1933 a son of the late Stanley H. and Malvena McNamara Wasson. She married Bonita Hutchinson, June 6, 1959. She survives.
He was owner of Wasson Custom cabinets for 30 years and previously had been employed by Shartle and Walker Construction for 12 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, past president of Men's Bible Class and former chairman of the church trustees. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #408 and served twice as master. He was a member and past Thrice Illustrious Master of Timothy Alden Council #60. He was also a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army in Europe. His hobbies included NASCAR races, gardening, hunting, fishing and motorcycle trips.
Surviving in addition to his wife, include two sons, Larry Wasson and Donald P. Wasson of Meadville; two daughters, Debbie Wasson of Clearwater, FL and Mrs. Marlin (Denise) Negley of Carlisle, PA; a sister, Mrs. Geoffrey (Evelyn) Farnum of Boston, MA; two brothers, Lorance S. (Bud) Wasson of Meadville and William C. Wasson of Conneaut, OH; seven grandchildren, Samantha Wasson, Jessica Wasson, Megan Wasson, Charles Wasson, Cassandra Wasson, Jessica Negley and Matthew Negley and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
