Jack L. Nutter, 82, of Meadville and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center died there Saturday, March 9, 2019.
He was born August 6, 1936 in Logan, OH a son of Walter and Gladys Nutter. He married Beverly Douglas November 1962 and she survives.
He worked in the maintenance department of Meadville Forging and previously had worked at Allegheny College and the Meadville Area Recreation Complex. He served in the US Army and was an avid country music fan.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Beverly of 56 years, include: three children, Jackie Palmer (Tom) of Boloit, OH, John Nutter of Meadville and Joni Hadley (Mark) of Union, KY; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jim Nutter, three bothers and a sister.
A private family graveside service will be held in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville with Rev. Jim Gibson, Pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Meadville Community Soup Kitchen, 956 S. Main Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
