Jacob (Jake) G. Ziemianski, 74, of Meadville, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born July 20, 1940 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Sarah Olszewski Ziemianski. He married Ruth A. Garver November 12, 1977 and she survives.
Jake was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving on active duty from 1959 to 1962 followed by reserve duty. He worked as an inspector at Actco Tool for 21 years, retiring in 2002. Jake was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 86, Pittsburgh where he held the fellowship degree and was also a member of the Western PA Moose Legion 1 and the Meadville Eagles Aerie 429. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and being on his pontoon boat on Pymatuning Lake. Jake was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan.
Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Ruth of 37 years, include a sister-in-law, Barbara Ritchey of Meadville; two nieces, Teresa McCollum and her husband Jerry of Townville and Diana Hunsberger and her husband Tim of Mongolia; a nephew, Joseph Ritchey of Meadville; seven great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah, Ashley, Trevor, Simon, Johnathon, Megan, and Cassandra; dear friend, Cindy Parker; and many other good friends.
There are no services.
