Jacqueline A. Cox

Jacqueline A. Sopher-Cox, 41, of Spartansburg, died at home, Friday, April 24, 2015.

She was born in Meadville, May 7, 1973 a daughter of Joyce M. Keefe Sopher Noel and James Sopher, Sr. and loving stepdaughter of Jack L. Noel.

She was a loving mother of Allie and Nolan and she was always helping other people.  In 1991 she graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School.  She had worked for Compassionate Homecare and was currently driving for area Amish families.  She loved gardening and working in her greenhouse.  She also enjoyed canning, cooking, baking and crocheting.

She is survived by her loving companion, John Homa of Spartansburg; a daughter, Allie Sopher of Edinboro; a son, Nolan Cox of Spartansburg; her mother, Joyce M. Keefe Sopher Noel of Meadville; three step daughters, Ashlie Homa Sharp of Mill Village, Courtney Homa Thieme of Meadville and Chelsea Homa Swantek of Spartansburg; a sister, Laurie Hackworth and her husband Jack of Linesville; four brothers, Mickey Noel and his wife Bernadette of Massillon, OH, Cody Noel of Meadville, Jamie Sopher and his wife DeAnna of Meadville and Shawn Sopher of Meadville; three nieces, Kayla Noel, Erin Sopher and Adrienne Sopher; two nephews, Andrew Hackworth and Jacob Hackworth and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Jack L. Noel; maternal grandparents, Albert and Annabelle Keefe and paternal grandparents, Leon Sopher and Charlotte Sopher.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1:00-2:30 at the Barco Chapel, Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Avenue, Meadville.  The memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Bill Cox, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
