James B. Frizzell, 83, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born August 10, 1939 in Danbury, WI, a son of James and Dorothea Sofia Frizzell. He married Ruth D. Smiley July 3, 1961 and she preceded him in death March 8, 2006.
Jim was a 1958 graduate of Webster High School, Webster, WI. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1962 to 1964, stationed in Germany.
Jim worked at Vic Farrah Chevrolet for many years and subsequently at Warren Industries. He was an active life-member and past Exulted Ruler of Meadville Elks Lodge 219. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed taking care of his home.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheree S. Frizzell (fiancé Derek) of Meadville and Terri J. Bruno (Eric) of Canonsburg; and a half-sister, Roberta (Bobbi) Sofia.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher C. Parker, Jr.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, September 22nd from 4-6 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where an Elks service will follow at 6:00 p.m. and military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2006.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
