James B. "Jim" "Wiggy" Breese

James B. “Jim” “Wiggy” Breese, 78 of Carlton, passed away on December 14, 2020 at Sharon Regional Hospital. Jim was born on November 19, 1942 in Stoneboro to the late Thomas Breese and Geraldine Heffern Mattocks. He attended Lakeview High School and went on to earn his GED. Jim worked for many years at Clinch-tite, Greenville Steel Car, then Trinity, as well as at Davey Tree, Joy, and retiring from Duferco in 2004. Jim was a very hardworking man and made sure his family was always taken care of. In his younger years he enjoyed playing in a softball league and bowling league. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed golfing. Jim boasts a hole-in-one at the Mercer golf course. He was also an avid Pittsburgh and Penn State sports fan. Jim married his beloved wife, Paulette (Bowers) Breese on December 28, 1962, she survives at home. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his children; Gregg Breese of Carlton and Greta Breese of Beaver Falls, his beloved cats, Alfie & Otis, brother Thomas Breese and companion Candy Wilson of Stoneboro, half-sisters; Pam Engstrom and husband Jeff of Stoneboro, Sue Pears and husband Larry of Stoneboro, and Gail Frydrych of Mercer, half-brothers; Kim Breese of Cochranton, Robin Breese and wife Cheryl of Hadley, and Wayne Breese and wife Teresa of Cochranton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his step-father, Francis Mattocks, and step-mother Jennie Breese. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Stoneboro. Funeral services will be private due to recent health concerns. Interment will take place in New Lebanon Cemetery.
