James David Mosbacher

James David Mosbacher, 75, of Meadville died Monday, June 21, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

He was born August 12, 1945 in Meadville a son of Merle Mosbacher and Florence Rhoades Mosbacher Stellato.  He married Sonja Turner September 25, 1970 and she survives.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Korea in the US Army from 1965-1968.  He was a tool and die maker working for several area shops including Leech Tool & Die, PA Tool and Gauge and most recently NuTec Tooling Systems.  He enjoyed antiquing and owned and operated Jim’s Antique Loft in Saegertown for many years.  He also loved his flower gardens, cooking, wood carving and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Sonja of 50 years, include: a son, Duane Mosbacher (Julie) of Oak Ridge, NC; two daughters, Michelle Young (Alan) of Atlantic and Heidi Albaugh (Shawn) of Linesville; seven grandchildren, Justin Peters (Shenna), Jenna North (Scott), Aerial Offenbacker (Cody), Alexis Albaugh, Ashton Mosbacher, Auben Mosbacher and Maslyn Mosbacher; four great grandchildren, Sophia, Conner, Annalise and Carsyn; two brothers, Ronald Mosbacher (Kathleen) and Bernard Mosbacher (Kathy) both of Meadville and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Marshall Stellato.

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will be Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Bobin, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Military honors will be provided by Veterans of the Vietnam War Post #52.
