James E. Jewell

James E. Jewell, 71, of Atlantic, died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born June 27, 1945 in Corry, a son of Harold Warren Jewell and Dorothy Jean Jewell Gregory.

Jim was a graduate of Corry Area High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1963 to 1964.  He worked in automotive sales for area dealerships as well at the auto auction, and in radio advertisement sales.

Jim enjoyed golfing and watching NASCAR racing.  He had many friends and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his love of 23 years, Louise Jones of Atlantic and his two cats Jesse and Joey.  He is additionally survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Jewell of Ft. Mitchell, AL; and two nephews and one niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Robert Jewell.

Per Jim’s wishes, following cremation there are no services.
