James Eazor, 84, of Meadville, formerly of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, February 7, 2002, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
Born in Pittsburgh, April 3, 1917, he was a son of Sam and Anna Farin Eazor. His first wife, Rosella M. Eazor, preceded him in death in May 1988. He subsequently married Joanne Scofield December 10, 1988.
He served with the US Air Force during World War II for 3 1/2 years. He was owner and operator of Silver Shores Restaurant for 17 years, retiring in 1977. He was very proud of the fine restaurant that he developed overlooking Conneaut Lake.
He was a member of Conneaut Lake American Legion and enjoyed golf with his friends.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 13 years, include six stepchildren, Nancy Baker (Ralph) of Aliquippa, Greg Cheuvront (Liz) of Yorktown, VA, Linda Nolan (Charles) of Meadville, Tom Berkey (Maryann) of Coral Springs, FL, Kathy Berkey of Meadville, and James Berkey (Lisa) of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Mitchell and Martyn Baker, Lyle and Brett Cheuvront, Amber Nolan and Anne Johnston; a sister, Betty Inman (TC) of Rochester; two brothers, Richard Eazor (Bonnie) and Brookville and Charles Eazor (Vivian) of Warren, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy and a brother, Ed.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
