James G. Boyd

James G. Boyd, 92, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since April 9, 1992, died there, Wednesday, December 6, 1995 following a period of declining health.

He was born August 16, 1903 at Guys Mills, a son of the late John C. and Myrtle (Bentley) Boyd.  He married Neva Rudd on April 26, 1934.  She died June 21, 1983.

He worked at Talon for 33 years, retiring in 1968 as a mechanic in the transportation department.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Joan Ackerman of Meadville; one son, James R. Boyd of Meadville; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers, Orison and Howard Boyd, and one sister, Ruth Palmer.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
