James G. Hauck, 81 of Cochranton, passed away on December 19, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center. James was born in Carlton on December 15, 1940 to the late William and Virginia (Long) Hauck. He as a graduate of Cochranton High School and went on to work at PPG for 31 years until his retirement.
James was a member of 19 North Community Church in Cochranton and was very deep in his faith. He enjoyed old cars and playing the organ and piano. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a relationship with each and every one of his grandchildren and they share many fond memories.
He married his beloved wife Johanna “Jodi” Longo on November 29, 1961, she survives at home. In addition to his wife James is survived by his children; Jamie (Chris) DuMond, Sandy Lake, JoEtta Rhoades, Cochranton, Jackie (Todd) Shearer, Sandy Lake, and Jonathan (Kelly) Hauck, Stoneboro, grandchildren; Jemmalee (Neil) Wilkinson, Terry (Donna) Shearer, Christa (Brian) Anderson, Tyler (Martina) Shearer, Jennifer (Travis) Monroe, Cylee (Warren) Jones, Jeanine (Mark) Holcomb, Tiffani Shearer, and Brianna Hauck, 17 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Esther (Gary) Benninger and their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake.
Visitation will be from 10 am – 11 am on Wednesday, December 22, at the 19 North Community Church, 4158 US 19, Cochranton, PA. A funeral service will follow visitation at 11 AM with the Rev. Elmer Hostetler, church pastor, officiating.
Private interment will take place in Mumford Chapel Cemetery.
