James J. Pitt, a former Crawford Countian, died Tuesday at his home at Clyde, NY, where he had lived for the past 11 years.
He was born April 1, 1891, in Randolph Township, a son of Peter and Anna Monnin Pitt. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Anna Pitts Brown of Meadville and six siblings, Edward S. of Meadville, Charles of Grand Rapids, MI, Norman of Elmont, Long Island, NY, Francis of Cleveland, Mrs. Oren Cornelius of Akron, OH and Mrs. John Zawocki of Erie.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
