James "Jim" C. Moore

James “Jim” C. Moore, 85 of Stoneboro, passed away on February 12, 2023 at home.

Jim was born in Sandy Lake, PA on May 27, 1937 to the late Clinton and Marian (Parker) Moore. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and later earned his Associate’s Degree. Jim worked for Joy Manufacturing as an Inspector.

Mr. Moore loved the outdoors, but relished deer hunting above all. He enjoyed working prior to his retirement, and most recently, taking rides with his wife.

On December 29, 1976, Jim married his beloved wife, Mary E. (Mayes) Moore, making 47 years of marriage for the couple.

Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife, Mary; daughter, Karen (Jeff) Sturm of Jefferson, GA; sons, Clinton (Kelly) & Keith Moore both of Sandy Lake; step-son, David (Monica) Reis of Savannah, GA; grandsons, Jonathan and Christopher Sturm; great-grandson, Jett Sturm; brother, Steve (Betty) Moore of Stoneboro; daughter-in-law, Marcia Moore of Hermitage; as well as several nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his son, Curtis Moore.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., SANDY LAKE, where visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Family and friends may be received from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.

Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
